St. Patrick’s Day in Chandler

With St. Patrick’s Day almost open us, it’s time to see how we here in Chandler can celebrate it. What events, parties, marches and more are happening? Well, we’ve got all the greenest listings for you right here!

Kicking off our list is the Shamrock Fest in Chandler Park on Friday, March 17th. The fest includes live entertainment, Irish dancers, bagpipe players, festive games, traditional food, themed activities and a beer garden. A beer garden! Does that mean plants sprouting six packs? I guess we’ll all find out together! But wait – there’s more. The Lucky Leprechaun Zone will feature Wee Man wrestling and the Kiss Me I’m Irish activity zone (it has it’s own zone?!? Awesome!) offers up lawn games, stein holding contests, cabbage bowling and more. Presale is $8, and it’s $10 at the door.

Next up is the Rosie McCaffrey’s Irish Restaurant and Pub which is opening VERY early that same day to celebrate St. Patrick’s. Beth & Friends from 99.9 KEZ will be broadcasting live from there and then at 11am the musical acts kick off. They’ll have the Brazen Heads, Arizona Seanachie and the Whiskey Rats – and proceeds will benefit the United Phoenix Firefighters Emerald Society. There’s no cover before noon – after that it’s $10 bucks.

Also happening on March 17th is the big ole’ St. Patrick’s Day celebration at McFaddens. From 9am-2pm they’re serving up their Keggs & Eggs breakfast. From 2pm-6pm they’ve got Paddy’s Day fun for the entire family – including a face painter and balloon artist along with music from the Arizona Fire Service Pipe Band. From 6pm to 9pm there’ll be Lucky Hour specials that include discounts on green beer and Irish whiskey. And then from 9pm on, it’s a massive party with rotating DJ’s, shot specials and more.

If that’s not enough – and it really should be – you can check out a list of St. Patrick’s Day events in Chandler right here. Wherever you go, whatever you decide to do, please drink carefully and don’t drive if you’re going to. That’s why they created ride-shares! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
