With Labor Day fast approaching, have you made any plans yet? Do you know what’s going on in Chandler? Well, we’re tackling this issue in our brand new blog, where we find the best and most interesting Labor Day Celebrations in Chandler!
Starting off our blog on Labor Day celebrations in Chandler is the 13th Annual Phoenix Cooks event over at 6902 E. Greenway Parkway in Scottsdale. On Saturday, Sept 2nd, head over to one of the best culinary experiences Arizona has to offer. Running from 10am-3pm at the Westin Kierland, and benefiting the Special Olympics Arizona, the event features top chefs (Justin Beckett, Christopher Gross and Robert McGrath to name but three) as well as local radio personalities ranging from Mountain Man Jay to Bo & Jody. Tickets get you unlimited food, wine, beer and spirit sampling as you enjoy the cooking demos that will be held across three stages.
Next up is the LGBT Labor Day Weekend Wet Heat White Party and Pool Party! The fun kicks off at 7pm on Friday, Sept 1st and runs through Saturday, Sept 2nd at 10pm. The Friday festivities include the White Party – with DJ Javin, Miss DJ MJ, and DJ Éclair and guests are asked to “dress to impress.” Saturday is all about the Wet Heat Pool party; brunch kicks it off from Noon-3pm, the pool party itself begins at 3pm and runs through 10pm. Miss DJ MY will be on hand along with DJ Shorty, DJ Éclair and DJ Juma – and you can expect drink specials. It’s located at the Wyndham Garden Phoenix Midtown over at 3600 N. 2nd Ave.
Finishing up our blog on Labor Day celebrations in Chandler is the Lock and Key Party at the Hotel Valley Ho over at 6850 E. Main Street. Singles from 22-45 are invited and if you’re wondering that a lock and key party is, it’s when all the women are given locks to wear while the men are given keys – and fun then ensues when the men must meet and talk to the ladies while figuring out who has the right key! It doesn’t end when the key meets the lock either – you can go get a new lock (or key) and get right back into it, meeting as many people as possible.
And there you go – plenty of great Labor Day Celebration suggestions for things happening right here in Chandler. Wherever you go, please drink responsibly and stay safe!
