Chandler is rocking October this year with an amazing Halloween lined up and so many events that we’re spoiled for choice! From haunted houses and harvest festivals to spooky face-painting and scary petting zoos, there’s so much out there to tickle your scary bone. So without further ado, let’s dive right in!
Lots of things are going bump in the night at the Chandler Halloween Spectacular. The party is free (yes, free!) and you can find it all going down on Friday, October 27th at the Dr. A.J. Chandler Park-Stage Plaza. Running from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., you can expect tons of spooky fun! Games on hand include pumpkin bowling, broom races, carnival games and a fun house maze. Each participant can also pick up free candy at each game so don’t forget to bring a trick-or-treat bag. The fun doesn’t stop there and includes a haunted house, pumpkin cemetery, face painting and a costume contest too!
Next up on our list of spooky things to do in Chandler this Halloween is the Fright Zone, a free haunted house that’s intended to scare anything out of you that’s not locked down! Fright Zone has been running for 15 years now and is open Fridays and Saturdays in October from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Halloween itself from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The house is filled with thrills and scares so button up.
And on Saturday October 29, head over to the Halloween Harvest Festival at the Antioch Community Church on 1125 N. Dobson Road from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can expect a petting zoo, face painting, food, inflatables, and “trunk or treat.” Kids are welcome and the whole thing is free!
So much to do and so little time so get on out there and enjoy all that Chandler has to offer this Halloween. Stay safe and drink responsibly – and have a Happy Halloween!
