The Best New Restaurants in Chandler, AZ for 2017

There are new restaurants opening up all the time – but what are the best new restaurants in Chandler? We drew the short straw on this assignment (not!) and got to run out and sample a whole bunch of new places so we could put together this blog on the best of the news ones.

Smokin’ Fins opened up a couple of months ago and already it’s causing a splash. It’s an Idaho-based concept that offers seafood, sushi and smoked meats alongside poke bowls, clam chowder and even seafood tacos (four types of ‘em!).  We sampled the Scallop Ahi Tuna dinner, Mahi Mahi tacos, California roll, Dragon roll and Calamari and loved every single bite of every single dish. They even do a happy hour menu! You can check out the full menu here.

Next up, we highly recommend Blue 32 – a sports grill that opened earlier this year It features fresh ground burgers, steaks and seafood – which are cut in house daily, salads and sandwiches with house made dressings and sauces, and a variety of local craft beers. It’s also filled with giant screen TVs so there’s no way you’re gonna miss a frame of sports anytime soon. We sampled the Mushroom Swiss Burger , the Cuban sandwich, the Turkey Bacon sandwich and loved all of ‘em.

If tacos are more your thing, then you should definitely hit up Guedo’s Taco Shop. Located at 3107 S. Gilbert Road, it’s open daily from Tues-Sat from 11-9pm and on Sundays it’s open till 8pm. We sampled the Beef taco with cheese, a beef-stuffed quesadilla with whole pintos and then spiced them up with toppings from the condiments bar that included cilantro, red salsa, cabbage and lime. Delicious!! The portions are generous and the seating is great. They also have a small bar to sit at too.

Finally, we hit up Osaka Japanese Steakhouse that opened just over a month ago. And it’s already a winner with us. Our time there brought with it very friendly and efficient service, high quality (and amazingly delicious!) food, a clean environment and reasonable prices.  They offer the usual Japanese food items, from sushi to dinner boxes to entrees, but their portions are pretty hefty. We sampled the Teriyaki Dinner Box (Bento Box) and it came with (deep breath): miso soup, house salad, California roll, 3 pieces of fried Gyoza, 2 pieces Shrimp Tempura, 4 pieces Vegetable Tempura, rice, grilled chicken breast, sauteed onion and bell pepper. If you think this sounds like a lot of food, it definitely was! They have a great Happy Hour too – and you can check out their happy hour menu here.

Wherever you decide to go, Chandler has some of the best restaurants around and these new ones just make our choices even better!
